Overview
Pitch Email Builder converts selected tracks and their saved CatalogIQOS metadata, enrichment, rights and sync context, and listening access into editable recipient-facing pitch copy. It prepares outreach; it does not send email or provide legal clearance.
- Select one or more tracks.
- Choose the listening method and resolve required URLs.
- Generate the pitch, review and edit the draft, then save it if needed.
- Finalize to validate delivery readiness.
- Copy or export the finalized material.
Before you begin
Verify the Workspace and Catalog shown above the builder. Review each track’s title, artist, genre and descriptive metadata, sync and rights readiness where relevant, and listening access. For Individual Links or Both, CatalogIQOS uses the primary listening URL stored on each Track Detail record. For Playlist Link or Both, have one valid playlist URL ready to enter in Pitch.
Step 1 — Select tracks
Select one card for a focused single-track pitch or several cards for a collection pitch. Switching catalogs reloads the available list and clears unsaved selection. Pitch lists up to 100 recently updated tracks.
Step 2 — Choose listening method
- Individual Links uses each selected track’s primary stored listening URL.
- Playlist Link uses the Playlist Listening Link entered for this pitch and does not require individual URLs.
- Both includes the entered playlist and each selected track’s primary URL.
The playlist URL belongs to this pitch workflow and is retained only when you save a browser-local draft; there is no cross-device Pitch draft record. A selected track that needs an individual URL is identified immediately with Listening link needed. Use Edit track to open Track Detail at its Pitch section and add the canonical listening link, then return to Pitch; a saved draft on the same device restores available selected tracks and copy.
Step 3 — Generate the pitch
Choose Generate Pitch after selecting tracks. CatalogIQOS uses the existing deterministic packet generator with saved metadata, enrichment, rights-readiness signals, monetization opportunities, sender profile, and listening configuration. Generate is disabled only when no tracks are selected. Missing or invalid listening links do not prevent a draft; they remain visible readiness issues and are enforced by Finalize. CatalogIQOS does not generate copy with zero tracks.
Step 4 — Review and edit
Recipient Preview is an editable draft, labeled DRAFT. Review and edit Subject and Email body, then inspect track context, use cases, recommended recipients, internal availability notes, and listening configuration. Generated language is a starting point and should be checked for accuracy and recipient relevance.
Step 5 — Save a draft
Save Draft preserves the selection, listening method, playlist URL, generated packet, Subject, and Email body in this browser on this device. Drafts may contain incomplete delivery requirements. They are not synced to another browser, user, or device.
Step 6 — Finalize
Finalize Pitch validates the current selection through the existing delivery-readiness rules. It does not weaken checks because preview copy exists. Validation checks include required track context, sender information, rights blockers, the playlist URL for Playlist Link/Both, and every individual URL for Individual Links/Both. Missing-link messages name the affected tracks. Add a track link through Edit track, or add/correct Playlist Listening Link in Pitch. A successful result displays READY TO SEND; this means validated for copying, not sent.
Step 7 — Copy or export
After successful finalization, use Copy Subject, Copy Email, Copy Listening Link, Export Pitch Summary, or Export for the selected-track CSV. The page-header Export opens the full Export module. CatalogIQOS does not directly email recipients.
Troubleshooting
- Generate Pitch is disabled: select at least one track. Listening links are not required until Finalize.
- No Listening Link: Individual Links and Both require the primary URL stored on Track Detail. Select the track and use Edit track.
- Pitch cannot be finalized: read the contextual validation message, correct every named track, sender, rights, metadata, or listening issue, then finalize again.
- Recipient Preview is empty: no pitch has been generated. Select tracks, choose listening access, and use Generate Pitch.
- Selected track disappeared: catalog changes reload the list; drafts restore only track IDs still available in the active catalog’s loaded list.
- Copy Subject / Copy Email is unavailable: generate and successfully finalize the pitch first. Editing after finalization returns it to DRAFT and requires revalidation.
- Playlist link is missing: you may generate and save a draft, but Playlist Link and Both require Playlist Listening Link before Finalize. The value is pitch-specific and is only retained in a saved local draft.
