1. Respect for copyright
CatalogIQOS supports music professionals in managing recordings, compositions, metadata, and rights information. Users must own or control the rights needed for material they upload. We respond to valid copyright notices and may remove or disable access to disputed material.
2. Submitting a takedown notice
A copyright owner or authorized agent may send a written notice to dmca@catalogiqos.com. To be effective under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the notice should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list; identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, including the relevant Workspace, track, asset, or URL; your name, address, telephone number, and email; a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your physical or electronic signature.
3. Review and removal procedure
We may request clarification, forward the notice to the affected user, remove or disable access to material, preserve relevant records, and notify the user. Removal does not decide ownership; parties remain responsible for resolving the underlying dispute.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to dmca@catalogiqos.com identifying the material and its prior location, stating under penalty of perjury your good-faith belief that removal was mistaken, providing your contact details, consenting to the jurisdiction required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), accepting service from the claimant, and signing the notice. We may restore material after the statutory waiting period unless the claimant reports filing an action seeking a court order.
5. Repeat infringement
In appropriate circumstances, CatalogIQOS may terminate accounts of repeat infringers. We consider valid notices, counter-notices, retractions, court outcomes, and relevant context and may restrict accounts posing a credible infringement risk.
6. Accurate notices
Knowingly misrepresenting infringement or mistake may create liability. Consider obtaining legal advice before filing. CatalogIQOS cannot provide legal advice or mediate ownership and royalty disputes.
7. Copyright agent
Send notices to: CatalogIQOS Copyright Agent, dmca@catalogiqos.com. Include “DMCA Notice” or “DMCA Counter-Notice” in the subject line. Contact Support may be used for non-DMCA rights questions.
