Overview

During beta, a Workspace can have an active plan entitlement while live billing is disabled or not connected. Pending billing describes provisioning state; it does not mean a card failed. Stripe checkout, portal, invoices, and payment-method controls appear only when billing is enabled in the current environment and the user has permission.

Before you begin

Confirm the active Workspace, displayed plan, subscription status, and any beta notice. Do not enter payment details outside a CatalogIQOS-provided enabled checkout flow.

Where to find it

Open Workspace → Billing at /settings/billing. Public plan information is at /pricing.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Review the Workspace plan and entitlement separately from its billing status.
  2. Read beta availability messaging before interpreting Pending, Active, or Trialing labels.
  3. If billing management is displayed, confirm the Workspace and use the provided secure action.
  4. If billing controls are absent or disabled, continue using the granted beta entitlement and do not assume payment failure.
  5. Contact support with the Workspace name and visible status when access and entitlement disagree.

What happens next

When live billing is unavailable, no portal or checkout action should be presented as active. Enabling billing later can add management controls without changing catalog ownership.

Best practices

Restrict billing administration, preserve invoices when issued, and distinguish product access from payment processing.

Common problems

Workspace owners may expect Stripe controls simply because a paid plan name is shown. Founding or beta labeling can describe eligibility rather than a completed charge.

Troubleshooting

Confirm permission and beta messaging, then refresh Billing once. Do not repeatedly start checkout. Report contradictory status without sharing full payment credentials.
