Overview
Workspace Profile stores the organization identity and defaults shared by catalogs in that Workspace. It is separate from an individual user profile and from catalog names. Changing a Workspace setting does not move tracks between catalogs.
Before you begin
Switch to the organization you intend to administer and confirm that your Workspace role permits settings changes. Prepare the legal or operating name, locale, timezone, and other fields shown by the current form.
Where to find it
Open Workspace → Workspace Overview at /settings/workspace. Use /settings/workspaces to switch or manage available Workspaces.
Step-by-step instructions
- Confirm the active Workspace in the application shell.
- Review organization identity, operating context, locale, timezone, and available defaults.
- Change only values that should apply across the Workspace rather than one Catalog.
- Save the profile and review the result message.
- Refresh affected pages and confirm that the active Workspace and defaults are correct.
What happens next
Saved organization settings become the Workspace defaults for supported workflows. Existing catalog-specific data remains in its original Catalog.
Best practices
Use a stable organization name, the real operating timezone, and the intended language preference. Grant each person an individual membership instead of sharing an account.
Common problems
Users sometimes rename a Workspace when they intended to rename a Catalog. A disabled form generally means the current role lacks administrative permission.
Troubleshooting
Confirm the active Workspace, membership, and role. If settings appear unchanged, revisit /settings/workspace after one refresh. Do not create another Workspace merely to work around a permission issue.
